The fundamentals of negotiation have not changed in a thousand years: negotiation is a conversation leading to agreement. There are countless books about negotiation and thousands of online courses. So how come we are not yet all negotiation geniuses? The answer is not that a lack of information – it is that most of us lack the personal abilities to use negotiation tactics successfully. At the Power House we teach you all the tactics from researching and opening to closing and troubleshooting – but more importantly we give personal psychological exercises to develop in yourself the ability and qualities of a great negotiator. THE TRAINER Hugh Willbourn trained as a psychotherapist and went on to do a PhD in philosophy. In 2004 his book, "Agree to Win, essential steps to negotiate in your work and life" was published by BBC books. He has worked as a negotiation consultant for over twenty years, alongside running a qualitative market research agency, writing books, working in improvisation and storytelling and teaching in academic and commercial contexts. His unique background in business, therapy and self-development gives him the ability to help students develop their negotiating persona, find their inner strength and train their voice of confidence.
